It was during this time that he joined the Dalmia Institute of Management Studies under the Mumbai University as a faculty. Patel launched a commodity market module for the first time in the MBA degree program under this university.
Bombay Stock Exchange:
He has successfully managed to take control of the BSE from the year from 2001 to 2008. As the CEO or Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company, Rajnikant Patel made BSE a limited company in the year 2005. Since then, BSE has been an independent corporate identity. It was the first time that an Indian exchange became a limited company under the Govt. of India Corporatization and Demutualization of Stock Exchanges Scheme.
